A fine example of Coronelli’s robust style is this rendering centered on the Atlantic Ocean.  A navigational sea chart with rhumb lines it has it’s emphasis on coastal geography. The map details the East Coast of North America and the Caribbean as well as Central America and the northern portions of South America with North Africa on the opposite side of the Atlantic.  Included in the North Atlantic is Spain, portion of France, and Great Britain.  The northern extremities also include Iceland and Greenland.  An elaborate title cartouche completes the map; without color as originally issued.  Printed on heavy paper, the map is rated Very Good with some foxing and damp stains to the left border not affecting the map which measures approximately (17.7" x 23.3").            $1650.  ($10.50 shipping / handling / ins.)
