Beaulieu was a French military engineer Ingenieur de Roy.  Best known for his battle plans; this map is from his work Villes of France, 1646.   Depicted is the battle of Valenza in 1656 .  Richly colored and illustrated, the map has an overview insert giving the locations of troops, a very fine cartouche of the French military, battle descriptions and decorative border.  It measures approximately ( 21.4" x 18.0"  - 54.5 x 45.0 cm) and is rated Excellent [see our rating criteria on the Home Page].     $950.    ($10.50 shipping / handling / ins. -  foreign postage addnl.)
