21.03 Angling in Troubled Waters: A serio-comic map of Europe, 1899, by Frederick W. Rose, London

 

This map and others like it were created by Rose and published by George W. Bacon toward the end of the 19th century.  The map in full color shows various countries of Europe as human figures except Norway and Sweden which are depicted as two dogs on a leash. Cuba, Philippines,  Egypt , Asia and other countries  are represented by fishing lines coming from the west.  The map is rated Very Good [see our rating criteria on the Home Page].  In original color, the verso is blank;  the map measures approximately (28.0" x 20.1" -  72 x 51.2 cm).      $2200.    ($10.50 shipping / handling /ins.)                     New Item
