A fine example of Blaeu’s work.  In original hand color, the map of Italy is centered on Trevigio and depicts the Gulf of Venice engraved to show the forests, lowlands, roads, and villages of the region.  Two beautiful title cartouches embellish the map with a distance scale and a sailing ship.  The map is rated Good [see our rating criteria on the Home Page] with a tear at the center fold both a top and bottom intruding into the map by 2 cm.
