The map shows the position of the Union and Confederate forces in July 1863. Various Corps both Union forces (in blue) and the Confederate forces (red) are indicated. At the bottom of the map is a notation “lands purchased and dedicated to the public by General S. Wylie Crawford and by the Gettysburg Memorial Association”. The lands are marked in a pastel red. There is an insert map on the right side entitled “Gen. Greggs Union Calvary Operations”. The map was produced to honor the Grand Army of the Republic. It is rated Very Good [see our rating criteria on the Home Page] with no apparent flaws, bright and sharp impression. The maps size is approximately (12.1″ x16.2″ – 30.7 x 40.6 cm).
